Nathaniel ‘Nate’ Palmer

Fundraising & College Readiness

Nathaniel Palmer, born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, has always had the passion to epitomize the meaning of his name – ‘giver.’ At an early age, Nathaniel sought to involve himself in community outreach. He worked at numerous boys and girls clubs in his high school years while also serving as an ambassador for Youth Intervention Projects. Mr. Palmer attended and received his undergraduate degree from Arkansas Tech, the same University where he became a part of the Nu Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. Through his fraternity, Nathaniel became an advocate for community, brotherhood, and serving others. As a 3-year Resident assistant, African American Student Association President, and the Creative Events Chair For the Student Activities Board, Mr. Palmer knew leadership was his calling. He took his desire to further his education and passion for leadership to Northeastern State University, where he received his master's degree in higher education, with an emphasis on adult leadership. While obtaining his master's degree, Mr. Palmer never lost his love for serving and giving to others, and thus, served as the school's Hall Director.

After receiving his master's degree, Mr. Palmer took a leap of faith and moved to Texas in 2020. Initially, he served as the Career Readiness and Transition Chair at Job Corp Northern Texas. However, Mr. Palmer was led directly back into a servant's position with youth when he was offered his current job: a social and emotional counselor serving Dallas high schools. Initially, he began at South Oak Cliff High School. In this position, Mr. Palmer impacted the lives of countless young men by giving them tools to develop their social and emotional toolboxes. Not taking his position lightly, Mr. Palmer became well known in his personal and work community as an empathetic leader who is also not afraid to serve for the betterment and progression of himself and those around him. Most recently, Mr. Palmer's work has continued with the same title but at North Dallas High School. He is so honored and grateful that he can continue giving and serving the youth, as he understands that they are our future. He feels it's important to mention that if he isn't serving up around his school, you can find him serving up his tasty fried catfish over a game of spades. In Mr. Palmer's free time, he creates sneaker-inspired coloring books with an emphasis on self-expression and therapeutic release. Mr. Palmer is eager to see what the future holds for himself and his community.
